EZEKIEL’S END TIME ARMY
Many are Called but few are Chosen
If we want to talk about The Remnant we need to give a simple definition of The Church first. The reason is because The Remnant rises up our from within The Church.
The Church is a “People Called Out” from society to Serve The Lord… In these “Last Days” there is going to be a “Remnant” called out from within the Church not just serve the Lord but to do exploits! [Daniel 11:32]
So we see in the Bible that “The Remnant” is a particular group of Saints who are “Called Out” from within the Church. Actually, this being “Called Out” happens to everyone in the Church but, as Jesus said; “Many are Called but few are Chosen.”
When most people think of a “remnant” they think of a piece of carpet that is “a left over” from a larger piece. But, that is not what the Biblical “Remnant” is.
The Biblical Remnant is not something that is “Left Over”!
The Biblical Remnant is actually the “Cream of the Crop”!
As I’ve already said, a “Remnant” in the Bible is a group of people who are “Called Out” from within the Church and then “Chosen” for a special purpose. We will see more about the “Choosing” later…
And, this “Remnant” that is called out from within the Church will be walking in “a Kingdom Mindset” and “Exercising Dominion”!
The Prophet Ezekiel has something special to tell us about this Remnant People that The Lord is calling out and choosing today…
The Book of Ezekiel is a Book of End Time truth… It is a book of Revelation and Restoration and we are going to look at a passage that shows us the Purposes of God for The Remnant.
The Lord has a special purpose for The Remnant Church, not the time-clock punching Church that so many belong to today. You know what that is… that’s the Church members who “punch in” once in a while so they can be seen and because they want to make themselves feel like they’re a part of The Church…
And, they may be a part of the Church at Large, but they’re not The Remnant! Remember, The Remnant is “called out” from within the Church.
And you know what? Those time clock punchers need to be seen all right ... they need to be seen for what they really are! They are just “Church as Usual” people!
God's not looking for people who only go to Church to save face and appear good. He is looking for people who want to save souls and Change Society!
Time-clock punching Christians are not really a part of what God is doing. He’s not looking for time clock punching Christians! He's looking for Overcomers who have given Him their all!
These are the Last Days and Paul tells us that in these Last Days there are going to be people filling up Churches but they only go there as long as they hear what they want to hear.
The Apostle Paul said that they will have “itching ears” and they will not endure the kind of “sound doctrine” that will help them develop into Soldiers in The Army of God!
We have a battle to fight!
God is looking for Soldiers, not Sissies. Soldiers who have sold out to Jesus are the only ones who will be in The Remnant; God’s End Time Army!
Look at what Ezekiel says about this End Time Army…
Ezekiel 43:1-5
"Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looks toward the East. And, behold, the Glory of God of Israel came from the way of the East: and His voice was like a sound of many waters: and the Earth shined with His Glory. And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I had already seen concerning the destruction of the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face. (If you really get a hold of what I am preaching to you today and see what God wants of you, you will fall upon your face too) and the Glory of The Lord came into the house through the East Gate.
So the Spirit took me up and brought me into the inner court and, behold, the Glory of the Lord filled the House."
There are Three things I want to emphasize here:
1. The Glory came through the Eastern Gate
2. The Voice of The Lord was like the sound of Many Waters… This is talking about of The Remnant as a “Corporate Body”.
3. The Glory came into the Inner Court of the House and Filled it!
Ezekiel was taken into the inner court...
That points to The Remnant, those who are in the Inner Circle with Jesus!
Before I get into the depths of this passage, I have to tell you about the Gates of the End Time Temple.
There are four gates, each of equal size, each facing one of the points of the compass and each of equal importance.
North in the Word speaks of judgment, testing, and trials...
It represents the cold winds of adversity!
The South speaks of blessings…
Song of Solomon 4:16 says; "Awake, 0 north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out."
It takes both the cold north wind and the warm south wind to release the spices in Gods Garden.
We are the garden of God and He lets the cold winds of persecution and adversity and trials blow upon us to help perfect the fruit of the Spirit in us.
The Lord put gates on the north side of the Temple for a purpose. Because of our reluctance to suffer, we would rather He had just built a strong wall on the north side to keep the winds of Adversity out!
But remember this, we do not go through Trials because God is angry with us.
They have a “Purpose”!
And, The Lord put gates on South side of the Temple too!
That’s were blessings, prosperity, the warmth of His presence and His peace come in.
Just think about the Wisdom of God here… it takes both the South Wind of God’s Goodness and the North Wind of the Severity of God to bring us to perfection!
Now what about the Western Gate? That’s where we look out and see the setting sun. These are the Gates of History; the testimony of what God has done in the past. God warns us not to remove the landmarks of old. They are the foundational truths that our forefathers set up for us as landmarks. They are the precious truths that we need to build on.
Nevertheless, you cannot sit in the Western Gate looking at the past and expect God to manifest His Glory there. Those old days were glorious and thank God for what He did in the days of old, but we must look to the future.
But you always find some people always facing the Western Gate talking about how wonderful it was back then.
They tell about the old-timers who gave their lives to God and did great things… Their song books and prayer books are filled with hundred-year-old songs and prayers.
They just keep looking at the glory of bygone days and eventually they end up in the place where they don’t believe that those days can ever be repeated or duplicated again. They just keep looking out that old Western Gate at days gone by and end up doing nothing for the cause of Christ today.
Let’s go to The Eastern Gate…
Now, we are not to cast off the good things of the past but we have to look through the Eastern Gate for the dawning of a new day for the glory of the Lord to be revealed.
So, some will build their Churches facing the Eastern Gate. But they’re looking to the future for “pie in the sky”. They say: “Someday the Lord will rapture us out of this rotten old world.” And they say; “Someday we will be all right in Heaven.”
These saints are so heavenly minded that they are no Earthly good!
So what does this all Mean?
Ezekiel said: “He took me into the Inner Court”.
That’s talking about the Inner Circle of the Church… The Remnant!
The ones we find there are the ones who will be filled with the Glory of God!
The Remnant is the End Time Army of God.
Those in The Remnant are going to speak His Word and do marvelous & wonderful things in these Last Days.
As it says in Daniel 11:32; "They that know their God shall do exploits"!
It’s not talking about those who know about Him. No! Only those that really know Him!
Understand this; when the Glory of God in the Last Days comes through the Eastern Gate it’s not staying there!
It is going to go into the Inner Court of the End Time Temple…
It is going to touch the Inner Circle of the Body of Christ… It’s going to The Remnant!
That “Transforming Glory” is not going to fall upon those who are at the Northern Gate.
That’s where the saints are stuck… rejecting the dealings of God and calling every trial they go through "of the devil". Don’t you get stuck with that group!
And, it’s not going to fall on those sitting at the Southern Gate either!
No, they don’t want to go through the dealings of God… They say: “God doesn’t deal with us like that anymore! I'm just going to stay here at the Southern Gate and take it easy in the sunshine of Gods' blessings until Jesus comes.” Watch out! Don’t get caught up with that group either!
Neither is it going to come for those who just sit there looking at the Western Gate of the days of old. They don’t’ expect anything to happen today. They just say “The days of miracles are gone you know. We just have to thank God for salvation by faith and wait this old life out."
No! The Glory is coming for the Overcomers!
They’re the ones who are willing to go through the trials and the storms of life.
These are the ones who know that God will send His blessings to them and take care of them too. But they know that they just can’t sit around talking about how good it used to be…
They’re camping at the Eastern Gate but they’re not looking for “the rapture”…
No, they believe Gods Word and are “pressing in” to the Inner Court.
They’re the ones who don’t want to stay at the Gates… They want to get to the Inner Court.
That’s where the Glory is going to come and transform them.
And, they are the ones who are Transformed and Filled with Gods' Glory will be the ones who will do exploits in these Last Days.
And they are going to usher in the return of Jesus by being a Corporate Witness.
They are “The Voice of Many Waters” speaking of the Kingdom of God.
They have declared war on the Devil and have put on their armor.
They are marching right up to the gates of hell ... and the Gates of hell shall not prevail against them!
That's what God has in store for those who are willing to stop being “Time Clock Christians” and press on to the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus!
Doesn’t this make you want to shout “Glory”?
So, let me lay it all out for you here…
It’s time to heed the Call of The Spirit and “Press into The Kingdom” and say “No More Church As Usual”!
Just think of this for a minute…
When that Glory came The Prophet said that "The earth shined with His Glory".
It wasn't the Rocky Mountains that got the Glory ... It wasn't the deserts ... it wasn't the cities.
No, it comes to the Remnant, Vessels of Clay with a Treasure inside! And, they will Shine with it!
The Glory takes the "treasure we have in earthen vessels” and multiplies it, magnifies it and releases it through Faith!
It's "Christ within you" being revealed by the End Time anointing that's coming upon this Remnant people!
The Glory is not for the ones who punch that old time clock! Oh no!
Look at Revelation 3:21 (KJV)
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
The Glory is coming for The Overcomer!
To conclude…
There is a “Remnant People” who are being called to rise up…
But not everyone will hear the call…
Not everyone will who does hear the call will act upon it!
Not everyone will qualify for it…
Do you plan to qualify for it?
Can you see that God is calling us?
But now here is that “Choosing” part I mentioned in the beginning…
Matthew 22:14 (KJV)
“For many are called, but few are chosen.”
Another translation says it this way: “For many are called but few are choosing”.
There is a price to pay to be in this Company…
That’s why few chose to be a part of it.
Only those who hear the call and “press in” will qualify to be a part of The Remnant!
Only those who are reaching for the prize of the “High Calling” of God will be chosen!
Do you hear “The Call” today?
Will you Press in and be Chosen?
Does your heart burn within you to be in “the Inner Circle” with Jesus?
Or do you just have “itching ears”?
It’s time to say YES to God!
It’s time to say YES to the Call!
It’s time to put on your Armor and be a part of God’s End Time Army!
It’s time… Now!

When we tread on and through the grapes with passion, persistence, perseverance and purpose we will see the Fine Wine that is saved for Last! Let us be those that chose as we are chosen, to be made whole and seek the fullness and fruit meant to be brought to harvest for such a time as this!!!!
